Ok, why is it so hard to find a complete kit for a 92 base vert control arms? I'm just trying to put new oem back on and then upgrade all the bushings. I figured I would get a bunch done since the rear main seal is leaking. Has anyone found any oem kits or did everyone just upgrade? Thanks!!
What are you looking for exactly? Sometimes you can find NOS control arms but you’re still then buying a control arm with 30+ yr old rubber bushings and time alone may have taken its toll.
Personally, I’d rebuild your existing set. Ball joints can be bought just about anywhere. The originals are riveted and it’s a bit of work to remove, replacements bolt it. I did poly bushings and have no regrets. Lots of opinions on poly vs rubber bushings though I sometimes feel those bashing the poly don’t have experience with it.
If you're looking for used that you could rebuild and perhaps restore the finish of I have 4 removed from a '93 for some NOS replacements. Control arms aren't heavy but very bulky and shipping isn't generally inexpensive. If these interest you drop me a PM. It's certainly convenient to rebuild and then replace and call it 'DONE'. You would then have yours to either resell or shelve for maybe an incident down the road.
