Default '92 LT-1 Fuel Pressure Regulator replacement

How much gas will be discharged when I bleed the fuel rail at the schrader valve or separate the fuel line feeding the regulator?
Just want to be prepared when I open it up.
The fuel will not siphon from the tank, right?
Thanks....

What you can do is apply vacuum to it (hand held vacuum pump?) and that'll open it up, allowing fuel to empty back to the tank.

After that, what I do is put something absorbent under it (one of my dog's pee pads) that way when I pull it off the rail, the absorbent material captures it all rather than allowing it to spill onto the engine.

ive read of some folks who pull a fuse to disable the fuel pump, then start the car. it will remove the pressure too.

if the car has sat for a few days, it likely wont have pressure on it anyways. (but why would anyone let their Corvette sit for a few days )

It's not so much a question of pressure as it is a volume of fuel remaining that will spill out.

Since I keep my car in the garage I don't want fuel spilling onto the engine since it'll smell up the garage for days. Which is why go through the extra steps I described. Then I just throw the pee pad in the trash can outside.

So having never done this service on a Corvette before my question is if I pull the fuel line going to the regulator off will I get a continuous siphon stream of gas from the tank.
I have been bleeding the gas at the fuel rail Schrader Valve but I seem to be getting a constant flow of gas. How much typically comes out when trying to bleed the fuel rail down?
Thanks.
