Years ago my 84 did the same thing when I stopped in a parking lot. I cut a wire going to the motor and I never fixed it. It's a "one of these days" kinda projects. I cut that wire around 20 years ago 🤣
Open the hatch and remove the trim that surrounds the roof stowage latch. There is a relay with 6 wires, usually with a white case. Unplug the connection with the gray, green, and I think white wires. These are to the antenna.
You can also remove the CTSY fuse, but a lot of other stuff stops working as well as the antenna. However, removing the fuse will stop the motor until you have time to unplug the relay.
