Hi, I just started writing in some to the forum. I want to thank everyone for all the great information you provide on this site. I wanted to share a few issues I recently have had to deal with on my C4. I have not been able to find windshield wiper blades that fit properly. Initially I ordered blades specifilly for the car from the local Chevy dealer, they did not fit. Has anyone installed these before there is a slot that you put a screw driver in I thought to remove them, is it necessary to also push down in this slot to install that type of blade. I than purchased Trico blades, the one on the driver side kept pulling off the shaft so they didn't work. I know have Anco blades on they work okay, but the one on the passenger side hits the hood enough that it can't retract into the storage position. Thanks for any guidance you may have on this, I realize it probably sounds a little rediculous. Hank...
They changed wiper arms and blades midyear in '95. The new arms have shorter blades and a different angle. This makes them less prone to coliding on the windshield. I upgraded mine to the new stuff. You may have gotten one and needed the other.

I upgraded my 88's wiper arms to the 1995 arms. I installed NAPA's wiper blades that have the Teflon strip on them. The blade length from blade tip to tip is 19 1/2 inches long. (I just went out and measured them)
The arm on the passenger side never retracted to the full rest position under the hood. I removed the plastic grill that's above the control arms and adjusted the arms so the blades now retract fully and do not hit the driver's side window molding either. Did this adjustment while I changed out the wiper motor. The computer board that is in the cap of the wiper motor went bad. I couldn't find just the CPU board so I bought a used 1994 motor for $40. Much better than the $199 that I was looking at on most sites such as MAD, Zip etc. for a rebuilt unit.
I still get blade chatter from the passenger's side blade but the arms do not colide as they did a couple of times in the past.
I don't have any idea why the passenger's side blade starts to give the system trouble. Maybe I need a new windshield. I'm going to try Rain-X to see if that helps out by not having to use the wipers that often.
Nice to see someone else drive their Vette in other than sunny weather.
:)
Wow! Wes, This information should help me get to the bottom of this mess. Thanks so much, it's amazing to me how much information you guys seem to have on pretty much any issue concerning our beloved corvettes. Thanks so much for the information. Hank..
Sounds like you have been through a lot with your windshield wipers also, the web site provided by Wes above is very informative check it out, although I'm sure your not crazy about spending more money to get your wipers working better, it seems like this may help you out some. I use rainX on my windshield it does help. I am stationed at Ft Campbell, Ky I like it here, but it seems to rain every other day most of the time, so both my cars get driven in the rain. Take care and thanks for the information.. Hank...

I think I have driven my Vette once in the rain. I think I probably need to check my wiper blades, although the probability of me driving in the rain again is extremely low. :yesnod:
