Seems straight forward enough, but being new to my C4 I wanted to check in with you guys on anything to look out for, upgrade options, what not to do, etc...
Vette died on me while driving and seems to be the alternator as the voltage was dropping pretty quickly. Battery charged up and starts the car just fine. It just won't drive long before dying.
Going to watch a few how to videos before the swap just to keep anything surprising me.
It's very straight forward if you can get a higher amp alternator that's fine because sometimes in traffic AC on fans going at idle you may drag down a bit but it's optional.
Make sure you disconnect the battery you don't want the battery wire on the alternator hitting ground.
Also you may want to confirm that the other wires are functional and the fuses are good

Thanks in advance!
easy job. with car running volts at battery should be around 14 volts
Your fusable link is down by starter, and I wouldn't sweat that. But in the fuse box look inside there maybe a fuse that is labeled Batt and I believe that is for the Field on the alternator
Only get lifetime if plan of keeping the car. My 87 is on it's 3rd from Pep Boys
Keep the battery charged, that and no engine driven fan kills alternators.
