What do you think of the 1988 Corvette C4 brakes?
I find that the brake assistance does not work very well, I reconditioned the 4 calipers, fitted a new master cylinder, replaced the brake fluid 2x, the brake servo has recent air and has no leaks of vacuum and my pedal is not soft.
The brakes are much less effective than on my BMW 328i E36 and the pads wear out more quickly.
I have never driven another Corvette so I have no reference.
THANKS
I feel like my pedal is too firm. Some quck research says that a bad brake booster check valve can cause hard pedal, soft pedal or "to the floor" pedal. I haven't tested mine yet but pushing the pedal 4-5 times with the engine off, hold the pedal down and start the engine. If the pedal drops a little the booster is holding vacuum, if not a bad check valve or even bad booster.
