Default rear window defroster

I looked through the archives and found several solutions to the wires burning of the hatch glass i notice there is a plastic epoxy that is suppose to work to reatach the wires. i bought a kit from Kragen but the apoxy did not seen to be tacky enough. I saw a post that somene used JB weld. Does this work?

It has to be able to conduct electricity. There is conductive epoxy, it can be hard to find.

Or you can have it soldered back on. If JB weld can conduct electricty it will work. I don't think it does.

:iagree:

BTW, conductive epoxy is readily available at most electronics parts stores (maybe not Radio Shack).

:iagree:
You need something like this: http://www.web-tronics.com/2400.html
I need it too. The tab on my rear defroster pulled off the window.
If you have a break in your defroster wires, making one or more of them not work, you need this: http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/showd...ID=15213&DID=7

I repaired the broken wire on my rear defroster with a conductive epoxy by circuitwork. It was around $18 from any electronic parts store. It comes with a harderner, mixing just like regular epoxy. Had it on for over a year, and it is still working great.
