I am going to change my coolant hoses. Samco seems like the general consensus for a quality product, however it looks like their kit for the 92 LT1 only comes with 4 of the hoses. Other kits I see online have 9 hoses with them.
IMO, the 4 hoses the kit comes with are the main hoses you generally need and would want to be silicone (durability and longevity). The others are fine to leave rubber if you're okay with that look.
