Default MAF sensor screen in or out?

I get the "service engine soon" light that turns on every now an then. The readout code for my 87 is 36 which is my MAF. I was about to purchase a new or used one from another member when I decided to take it out and clean it. I cleaned it and the light went off. Now it comes on again from time to time and will go off as I drive or will stay on and I take it out clean it and will go off again. My question is, should I remove the screens at the front and back of it? I posted this same question in the C4 parts for sale/wanted because it was 6am I was getting ready to go to work and was half asleep.

First replace the 2 MAF sensor relays located behind the battary.
This will cure most code 36 issues.

I looked up the trouble codes and it said something like that. Hear is my stupid question of the day. Are the relays visible behind the battery or are there more than just two and I will have to find the two that belong to the MAF?

The relays are directly behind the battery and simple to replace.

They are behind the battery on the firewall.

:iagree: You can't miss 'em, they are right next to each other and share a bracket. They are the same part number.
