Default No Back lighting

Trying to troubleshoot my 1985 corvette base model. I have the service manual. I lost the backlighting for the Heater/AC control panel, the selector panel that let's you select the inputs for the LCD panel. The LCD panel works great. There are no fuses blown or any rear lights out. I have been replacing the door panels and both door lights are disconnected. All grounds have been reworked.

Checked all grounds, LCD backlites work., tested all fuses, and verified all Lights are working. I am at a loss for the next step.

You may have lost the “gray” wire perhaps? It’s powered by the light switch, but so are another half dozen circuits. So if you only have an issue with the AC control lighting, it’s fairly simple.

The original post stated the Heater/AC control, Input Select Panel, and radio backlites are out (Display, Clock channels are fine. All fuses were checked. Tail lights, Headlights, Marker lights, Stop lights, and all other lights are functioning normal, I have the door interior panels are off. I am aligning the windows.
