What engines can you swap into a '85 corvette

it costs even less to get a LS to that, hell many of them already have it in stock form

I don't think he is going to get to 350hp in an LS or fuel injected 350 without messing with electronics. I think a carbed LS is going to cost a lot if you want to both get it into a C4 and hit that 350hp number. Those engines that have that much horsepower stock cost a lot more than the truck engines and the cost to mod the car and convert the engine to a carb are not insubstantial.
For comparison, I am over $6k on the .40 over 350 I am putting into my 89 right now. It is all new parts except the bare block and manifolds, but it won't make 350hp (because I am reusing intake and exhaust manifolds and not messing with the electronics) and the only thing I outsourced was machining the block.

These are the parts I ran on my 85 while I saved up for a crate motor . The car ran really well and never had any problems . I’ve since put in a new engine but took the same setup and put it in a 72 Nova but with a Quick Fuel 793-Br-67207 carburetor and it runs just as good .Edelbrock 5089 e street heads
