Default Needing advice about headers

I'm going to put new headers on my 96 LT1 and would appreciate some input from you knowledgeable C4 people. The engine has MSD long tube headers and I believe the left side header flange is warped. Iv changed the gasket twice, using copper gaskets both times, but still have an exhaust leak at the header flange. No matter what I have done, there is a leak. Each time the gasket was changed, the leak changed position. At first it was leaking at the rear of the flange, now that I've changed the gasket again it is leaking from the center of the flange. What do you recommend is the best long tube headers? Iv looked at ARH, TPIS, Hooker, and BBC and I don't see much of a difference between them. Thank you for your help!

ARH are equal length headers. TPIS are not. ARH headers were quicker in the quarter than Hookers in my car by .15 in the quarter. Check to see if your flanges are warped. Use a straight edge. If so, a belt sander should be able to fix it.

What size headers? Are the equal length headers harder to fit in the tight confines of a C4 tunnel and engine bay? Thanks... what a dream photo... rotating the front wheels, what are those 60 foot times like? thanks...

Thanks. I am using ARH stepped headers; 1 3/4" to 1 7/8". I compared them to Hooker 2151 which are 1 3/4". The TPIS headers are the easiest to drop in because they aren't equal length the primaries take up less space. For a street car it shouldn't matter. Not sure if they are still making the headers though. My 60' are around 1.38. Best has been 1.34.
