missfire
Has anyone had a missfire problem on their 84. Most noticed between 1st and 2nd. (automatic) Does not happen all the time. Will occur at higher rpm as in hwy speed. Have run diagnostic tests but no luck. Any ideas??

Have you checked the plug wires, and the rest of the ignition system? Usually an intermittant miss is ignition. Any codes? Could be lots of things, need more info. :cheers:

Wires and plugs have about 20,000 miles - should be ok- but who knows.
Wonder if cap could be bad or an injector problem. Seems to be less of a problem when not warmed up. :mad

Same kind of thing happened to my 85 vette, nothing on diagnosic's either. I changed the plugs and wires (Taylor), and had the injectors cleaned, and the problem went away. I'm bye far a mechanic, but thought I would let you know, because it sounds simmilar. Good luck.
