Default Serpentine belt stuck!

Dear fellow techs, I have just purchased a project C4 1984, runs an drives, however the serpentine belt is thrashed, went to replace it and it is stuck between my crank pulley and my subframe, I tried to lift the engine by the oil pan and it will not budge.
Power steering, oil, and antifreeze leak big time. No clue if that affects it in any way. Please give suggestions as I do not want to drop the subframe or pull motor mounts to replace a belt

That won’t work, it is too close to the crossmember

I would check the motor mounts. Something has deteriorated and allowed the engine to settle down closer to the crossmember.

Serpentine belt is the least of your worries right now. You need to figure out why they is no gap.

In the earlier years they seemed to be a little tight and I cursed at a few, as suggested cut away the killed. When going back on you put the belt on edge and work it down the face of the pulley.
If you don't have that little bit of gap you have bigger problems like your car is a little short in that spot or the Cradle needs a push back
