Replacement Rack and Pinion Suggestions.
Hello C4 People! Rack and Pinion in my car is in need of replacing, should I go the route of rebuilt via sellers on eBay for a Z51 rack, as my car was optioned with it, or should I buy a new rack from Rock Auto as they just popped up, it's not a Z51 rack, but i don't have the Z51 suspension, just the rack optioned in on my car. With new i don't think they require my core back, while the rebuild does have a 300 dollar core charge or so. I don't really have the time to rebuild my current one now, but in the future, I would think I would. I'm looking for the best possible current solution, and any experienced input would be appreciated, I'll also be installing a new power steering pump and lines as well.

I never consider any question to be dumb, especially if you're new too, the Z51 rack had a tighter 2 turns lock to lock for steering, it's quicker, the base has 2.25 turns lock to lock, I'd love to keep the option, but i want something reliable, even if if it means loosing the quicker 2.0 steering, people actually complained back in the day about how twitchy it is 🤣
