1989 - Putting my engine back in my car I have this brace in my pile of bolts and brackets. I can't find it on any of the photos I took while disassembling and can't figure out where it goes.
Based on the other parts and bolts it was with it most likely attaches to the AC or power steering bracket.
I figured I would also mention what it is NOT, since there are a lot of braces that look similar:
It is NOT
the brace that attaches to the engine mount from the power steering bracket
the brace that attaches from the alternator to the exhaust manifold
the long brace that attaches from the rear of the compressor to the exhaust manifold
the brace that attaches from the waterpump to the front bottom of the compressor
Hope this helps, my pics aren’t the best. The bracket your installing bolts to the back of the AC bracket and if you have a stock L98 then there should be a stud for the other side. Its a bitch to get a nut on that stud, but hey, it’s a C4, just keep wrenching.
