Mixing oil
I don't have a clue what kind of oil was in my 86 when I bought it, or what kind the dealer put in when I last had it serviced. When I last topped it up I used mobil1 synthetic.
It's been leaking a bit and now it needs more oil, can I just use anything synthetic or not - I've got some quaker state non-synthetic performance oil rated SL, SJ, SH (10w-30).
Is it okay to use this oil or will my car explode unexpectedly or something?
I want to avoid draining the existing oil for a little while if possible.
