I’m working on a 89 Coupe. Are the Rear ABS Reluctor Rings pressed on the out board half shafts? I need to replace the wheel bearings. Thanks!
Unfortunately it's part of the bearing, but now the question is there play in your bearing because sensors do fail or become gummed up with brake dust and Rd dirt.

The rear is not part of the bearing. The sensor mounts to the buckle and it picks up the tone from the reluctor ring that is on the shaft.
You can replace the wheel bearing without disturbing the ABS.
Oh thanks that clears it up, Do you have recommendations on the brand of bearing I should buy.
They are all roughly the same now. SKF/Timken being preferred. Next set I’ll get will be the z-tracker. But I’m not going to recommend a 2k set for a DD.
"" the reluctor ring that is on the shaft."" The axle (actually called spindle) shaft. @ChumpVette are the wheel bearings replaced or the entire hub ????

Thank you for your response. Since I don't have it apart it was hard to see up in there. The places I was looking at in the description for replacement wheel bearings said it was not an anti lock wheel bearing which in retrospect makes sense if it's on the spindle.
