C4 96 A/C Compressor disengages

C4 96 A/C Compressor disengages
C4 96 Collector Edition Coupe LT1. A/C Runs great {48*} when either Auto, Recycle, or combination head/feet button is selected. Compressor clutch disengages when I select either Head (Top Only Vents) or Feet (Botton Only Vents} button is selected and then blows hot air. Help

Really I had originally typed "is this normal" at the end of my question but then deleted it because I said that can't be normal none of my other cars do that. I quess your not suppose to wear sandals in the summer when driving a Vette or need to cool the sweat from your face when its near 100* outside. Oh well I guess the good thing here is that thanks to you I can stop trying to figure out what's wrong with the A/C. Glad the heat doesn't work that way! Thanks OneRedVette Appreciate it.
