93 LT 1 question
I am having my 93 LT 1, automatic being scheduled for new plugs, wires and opti-spark at my local chevy dealer/shop. I have driven the car several times lately and it runs like new even at high speeds. However, if I floor it, it starts to misfire, backfire and almost sounds like its running out of gas after a few seconds. This car has 17,000 original miles on it. Sometimes when the issue occurs it won't hardly idle and can be difficult to start back. Obviously the car isn't driven much. I have been given a parts/labor estimate and have decided this would be a good place to start for the price since this has never been done since I bought the car new. I think I will also have the fuel filter replaced. Does anybody have any other suggestions for anything else that could be causing my problems? I'm not a mechanic at all. I would simply like to have my vette running well again. Thanks.
