Good afternoon gentlemen, My name is Cristian and I am new to the forum, I have had a corvette c4 from '93 for 2 years, about 5 months ago I started with some problems, the car did not want to start anymore, a week later I tried again and it started as if nothing had happened, after a week I parked the car at my work and when I wanted to start it to leave again it did not start, a few days of failed attempts passed and when a mechanic came to see it I started without problems on the first attempt, the problem was after 2 days when I was returning from work that at a traffic light it began to fail as if several cylinders had failed and it went out. From there the same story a couple more times until I couldn't turn it on anymore. At that time several sensors were changed, coolant sensor, throttle body sensor , map, mas, ignition control module, coil, fuel pump, relay and fuel pump fuse, cancel the VAT system, replace the injectors, IAC VALVE, and sure some other sensor that I don't remember at the moment. Every time something changed, the car started for a few moments until it started to fail and turned off by itself. When using starter motors, the car turns on and keeps running until I stop using the start engines, so the problem is that it does not inject fuel, a mechanic told me that it could be the module that is near the fuel tank of the ASR, ABS but I did not find much information about that. Did anyone go through this and know how to fix it?

 

Take a good look at the wires at the Ignition control and the coil, my 93 the wires had corrosion in the wires at those plugs and the strands were broken. One day the car would run the next day it wouldn't or it would just shut down. I found the problem by sheer accident after replacing the 3rd Opti.
I was letting the car heat up to bleed the cooling system cleaning the wires into the rooms and when I touched those wires it shut down restarted and again shut down again replaced them and all well now
