How di I remove side window tinting??
DMV has failed my inspection because I have side window tinting on the car (apparently against the regulations in NJ). How can I get it off? I'm thinking either scrape it with a razor blade or wipe off with paint remover but really have no idea.

Try a solution of amonia and water or try WD40 on the realy tough spots. Make cetrtain you protect the interior. There is also a commercial remover that you can buy at any auto parts store or Walmart. I prefered the WD40 and then cleaned it again with the amonia and water solution. That's what I used. I used the Window film remover that is sold at autoparts. It comes with the blade to take it off. What I did was if you read the instructions it will tell you to add the liquid and leave for a few hours. I added the solution to the windows the night before and the next day it came right of.

Peal as much off as you can by hand, or with a razor blade. To remove the sticky stuff that will be all over the glass, I used denatured alchohol, you can buy it in the paint section of most stores. Apply it to a rag and rub it on the glass. It's a very slow annoying process, you may want to consider paying someone else to do it. Hank...

I prefer not to use any of that liquid stuff- it just makes more of a mess. Peel the tint off from a corner. Then, carefully scrape the glue off with a razor blade, making sure to only scape with the curve (up/down).
