Try this thread first....

Follow the instructions I gave on how to reset the IAC. It is the first thing you should try before tearing into anything....
Good luck Mister Phelps......

I think I figured it out....The big vacuum line that goes into the throttle body has no clamp on it and it is very loose...

You still need to do the reset procedure for the IAC. I'm guessing that once you tighten the hose and reset, it should idle fine.
Hope it works for you....

Re: Superram installed- Now car "cams" (85superram)
Wish I was more familiar with the '85 Vette, but I do have a '86, and had the same problem with my EGR.
Prior to me adding the Mini Ram (which has no requirement for an EGR Valve) I added 4" TALL Center-Bolt Valve Covers a few years back. By doing so, the EGR Pipe would not clear the TALL Covers.
I bought another EGR Valve/Pipe,...made a few measurements...cut both my stock EGR Pipe, and the new EGR Pipe, and then welded them together.
Worked perfectly...got no codes, and smelled no fumes.
