Last night I started my car up and turned on the headlights. The headlights came up and then I noted my battery light came on intermittently about 5 time, at the same the volt gauge dropped from 14.7 to 12 volts. First thought, alternator is about to die. I pull out of work, everything fine. I get home, the driver side headlight wont go down. There is discoloration on the wire going to the motor in one small spot. Any suggestions, I think the motor fried causing all the other problem? By the way, the car is 1992. :cry
Re: Headlight motor died??? Suggestion... (92dreamin)
There was a thread in the last couple of weeks on this forum that dealt with headlight motors and someone who rebuilds them. I'll try to find it and send to you.
Pretty sure it was Corvette Central. However, I know those can be rebuilt in the basement.
