Check Engine Light?
I have a 1992 Corvette I just purchased. When I take off the original exhaust and replace it with a new custom exhaust system will the check engine light come on if I don't have a cat converter on it?
I have heard the certain years of the C4 that is something that people don't have to deal with?
Also does it need to be retuned?

Generally no, no code will set from just doing that. And no it does not have to be retuned.
However you do need to keep the O2 sensors in the new exhaust system at roughly the same place.
