Engine and Trans Swap Ideas?
I recently found a really bad oil and transmission leak on my 87 corvette and was wondering if I took an engine and transmission out of a 96 Camaro, would it fit In the Corvette?

You could make it fit. But you would be swapping an L98 to an LT1. Honestly it would be easier to LS swap it because of all the stand alone harness's and ecu's that are on the market now. That and it's been done a ton of times so there are lots of threads that would walk you through it.
I went with a built LQ9 and a 4L80e in my 84. For the money it's a great combination and wasn't too hard to make work in a C4

It should fit, but there are better options, in my opinion. You could rebuild the L98 with a 383 stroker kit, or get a nice Gen I SBC crate engine.
