1993 MEMCAL question
I was curious if the 1993 MEMCAL has the limp home chips on it.. the one I just got does not (brand new from GM)

Mine did. Code on chip was BDBK. You sure you got the right item?

WAIT!!!.......Im doing mine and its bafl 3867 and I have a prom in there and a while gelled surface preped modular IC in the carrier. Mine is also a 6 speed 93. Mine is stock and original so I think you have the right one

But are there 2 smaller chips under the White Gelled module?

It's OK....the later speed density has one combined chip....they moved the esc onto the prom also so it does look different.

I think everyone is a bit confused..
For example a MEMCAL for my 89 has an EPROM and 2 limp home mode chips.
my 1991 MEMCAL has an EPROM, 2 limp home mode chips with the ESC circuit mounted just above the Limp Home chips.
the 1993 PROM has an EPROM and the ESC Board no limp home chips. I thought it was bad but I had another one checked and it is the same

No there are no chips under it. It just has the white ics. that is the limp home replacement
