I was trying to replace my egr with a new one so I took off the intake manifold and I got defeated by the 2 bolts that keep the egr mounted I manage to get one off but the other one was really tight and couldn’t get it loose especially for how much small space there is and no room for play. Any tips?
Since i was replacing it anyways, i bent the egr itself over to be more out of my way. I also sacrificed a wrench, 3/8s i think. I cut it short enough to fit down in there. YMMV.
I tried that but didn’t do it with the wrench trick and the ratchet part kept coming up on one of the ends everytime I pulled it to loosen
I imagine you already got it off, but I just held the wrench down on the bolt with my other finger so it wouldnlt pop off it.
Then it only takes one good turn to break it free. Smooth sailing from there...
