Hello, I was driving my car about a week ago from work and when I first started the car it had trouble starting and the engine light was on. I was able to get it to start but when I stepped on the pedal the car would barely go anywhere, it only did that at the start. Once I got it going I noticed the rpm’s would bounce up to 3000, then the car would jump when it’s gears were shifted and after that the rpm’s wouldn’t go passed 2500. I did some research and I’m assuming that I have clogged cats. I have not drove it once until yesterday, I had to move it out of the drive way. When I turned it on it was okay, but then I shifted out of park and into reverse and the car jumped and the tires skirted, when I put it back in drive it did the same thing. I have no idea what the cause of that could be, does anyone one have any idea what this could be caused from??
I don’t know if clogged cats would play with your transmission, I would’ve guessed that your engine would have trouble revving and such.
Have you checked your transmission fluid? Low fluid level could present all these symptoms
sorry for the late reply, the transmission fluid is full though. I was trying to get the engine code off of it to make it easier, but I guess the previous owner swapped out the one that you have to use a paper clip for and put on the piece to where I can just use a code reader, but it won’t read at all, so I think the wiring on it is messed up maybe.

You are probably not shorting the right pins. I believe you short pins 12 and 4. The 94 has the OBD 2 connector but is still OBD 1.
oohhh okay, I’ll try that when I get home and ill update you guys. Thank you for the tip!!
okay I was able to check the codes, for the 4.0 portion it showed H43 and H22. And then both time I tried to check the 9.0 portion it said error so I’m gonna try and find a way to fix that too.
