Copper header gaskets any good?
I had tried them at first and they were the D port design which does match the LT1/4 head. However, it does not match the Hooker headers 2151 oval or round design so it leaked bad on the bottom of the port.
I have read that some of you are running these copper gaskets and would like to know what type, brand or part number.

Mr. Gasket CopperSeal's are excellent... Sure, they're $50 but they're worth every penny. I've been using the same set for almost 7 years!! They've been on 4 different motors and still seal perfectly. They will eventually become harder and will lose some of their ability to seal...No problem though, just stick them in the wife's oven (when she's not looking) and cook them for about 30 minutes at 350/400 degrees...They become nice and soft again and you can keep using them! If I use a gasket (which most mass-produced headers require you to), then there's no better one to use in my opinion.

Cometic makes awesome gaskets. Nascar stuff too. I have their exhaust and head gaskets. They custom make the head gaskets to any hole size you want. I got 4.035" gaskets to match up with my 4.030" bore size. Virtually eliminates adding any possible quench area.
