Those look really nice. Mine are purple. Yes, purple. I take no responsibility for it, it's how they were when I got the car over the summer.

that is very cool. I tried a crinkle paint and it failed badly. A repaint is on my winter project list. Was one can enough to cover both?

@TylerScott Thanks. And those really don’t look bad. Interested to see what color you choose

@dburgjohn one can is definitely enough. I had enough to coat my reservoir too. I put them in the sun to dry and the crinkle effect is more pronounced than I wanted.

I did my valve covers and exhaust manifold heat shields a couple of weeks back, while I had it all apart.
The valve covers have held up fine, but the clear coat on the manifold shields themselves is turning yellow.
I might do em over again at some point and just not clear coat em next time.

Dang. That's one clean LT-1 right thar! Ha..
Gosh. These 30-40 year old engines look cleaner and nicer than the engines in the newer cars I see.
I mean, it's one thing to have a nice, clean body but when you pop the hood on these old cars and they look like this, it's impressive.
Ah well. I just have a pet peeve about clean, well kept engines, I guess. I enjoy seeing them on these old cars. And most of them I see are.
