I think so. they cut down on the right hand kick of the rear when you floor it.
they make the connection between the tranmission and the rear diff stronger, easier to service and less prone to coming loose.

Back when I bought these I paid $139 in some sort of a group purchase thing going on over a year ago. I think they are up to about $180. I can't remember the exact website I bought them from but the letters "ZF" were in it I believe. Try doin' a search

please email me. ron_kreigh@hotmail.com the beam plates work really well, I have installed them on 3 ZR1s and they make a big difference. they stiffen the beam considerably, keep the bolts from digging in when the beam twists around, and make mounting the beam much easier.
by tying the two bolts together and better distributing the clamping, these little 2 lb plates help stiffen the car and reduce twisting of the diff under power.
