Pushrod O.D. for LT1
Hi All.
I'm looking to strengthen my valvetrain in my 92 vert. Can anyone tell me if going to a 3/8" dia pushrod is doable without having the heads machined? I know Manley makes a 0.120 wall thickness in a 5/16", and that's great. But I'm trying to get the biggest O.D. I can. Because I know you'll ask, it's a stock cam. I'm going with Comp Pro Magnum 1.6 rr and will be upgrading my springs as well. Just want the most I can get out my stock cam without taking the heads off. All that will come later with a different engine. Thanks in advance.

Here is what I run, Comp 26918 springs, Trick flow guide plates, TF 5/16 .080 chromoly 7.2 push rods, ARP 7/16 studs and Scorpion Race 1.7 rockers on a 1993 lt1 all original stock motor put 309 hp/336tq to the wheels. Been on there since 2008.
