My cousin wants to buy a 1988/89 Vette.
Did those years have a lot of dash problems.
Has anyone had problems and spent a lot of money on the dash.
Should he just go for a 1990/91' instead of the 88/89' to avoid teh digital dash?? Please help...
I remember the dash display follies being mainly confined to the '84-'85 model years. My '89 has over 191K miles with no problems with the digital dash. I did have to replace the four zenon bulbs (for the digitial display) at 187K, but that took only one Saturday afternoon. Overall, I personally rate the digital display superior to the analog display on the later Vettes. Nothing like flipping a switch to see an instaneous readout on your oil temperature! :)
