Which clutch for 4+3 ?
Recently I had issues with gears. Reverse was with grinding and I was unable to put any other gear. On my last short trip I was able to put only 4th, then I got 2nd. After some time 1st as well, but when I parked I lost all of them. I changed oil in gearbox (not overdrive) - previous was really bad and bleed the clutch. In result I put new clutch fluid. Now clutch works without big force and I do not feel that it is engaging. Still no gears. When I release a clutch and try to put a gear rpm goes down.
Anyway this need to be checked all together: clutch, gearbox and overdrive which leak a lot.
Do you have any clutch manufacture preference ??
I dont need any performance one, just like stock one with good reliability. PERFECTION CLUTCH MU19111 is good choice ?
Anyway I checked slave cylinder and push-rod which push fork move less than 1cm - I think it is to small movement. Maybe it is some problem with clutch master cylinder?
havent found a brand that doesnt suck yet, some die in 2 months and others last a year or two
.Problem was with clutch master cylinder. It looks that it was dying and clutch worked on very short range. Thats why I had problems with gears and finall blocked all of them.
Now works very well, there's even a "click" when gear is on.
Anyway I have some doubts:
- does clutch pedal has any adjustment ? After new pump wast installed it is ca 3/8" higher then brake's pedal
- in order to bleed I have removed clutch actuator/slave and removed pushrod which push clutch fork .. unfortunately I forgot where is proper end. One end of pushrod is sharpened second is wider and spherical. I have install thinner, sharpened end towards clutch fork - is it correct ?
- still I have squeak when I push clutch pedal, noise is coming from clutch bell - can i somehow put some grease inside from folk side ?
