coolant problems
Hey folks I have a problem here. I keep blowing out all of my coolant, even from the reservoir. I was thinking that maybe a radiator flush would be a next step, which would entail putting in a radiator flush and going for a long drive. However, I'm not sure the coolant would last for the entire drive. Has anyone else ever experienced the same problem, if so I would appreciate a helping hand. It is a 1996 LT-1 base, coupe.

when things are normal, coolant does not leave. You have a leak somewhere or something is clogged up causing overheating (which makes the coolant leave). The other possibility is a blown head gasket pressuring the coolant system causing it to leave. Fix leaks if any, flush it out and if still doing it compression test the engine or get one of those chemical test that can detect combustion products in coolant. wishing you luck with the project
