Default Need a new TO Bearing

Hi Guys,

I have an 88 C4 with a 4+3. My throw out bearing is shot so I got a price for a new bearing, clutch and PP and install. The estimate came out to $1600-$1900 depending on any other parts that might be needed. Is that the going rate for a clutch replacement? Just wondering what other people might have paid within the last couple of years.

Thanks.

Seems a little steep I paid $1250 on my 93 six speed 5 years ago but everything cost more today so I would say 1200 to 1500 would be the range

So looks like it's not off by that much especially considering how much inflation has gone up in the last 5 years.

Seems kinda steep. I just did my '87 4+3 with $180 kit. It took me working alone about 4 hrs. I would think $1500ish would be reasonable including fluid changes.
Just FYI, the previous owner had the job done about 2000 miles ago, but they left the old throwout fork in which had a bad clip which then trashed the bearing. If you have more than 60-70K on it, you might add in a fork or at least ask them to check it.
