I have an 89 l98 with the 113 aluminum heads. I need to change one of the head gaskets. I have read that the gasket thickness should be .051". I am measuring .032" with a feeler gauge between the head and block, in several different spots. The engine was rebuilt by the previous owner. Can yall recommend a head gasket? I want to have all parts ready before I tear it apart.

Send the heads to a machine shop. Then you will know they are good. I did that, car runs like new.
