1) what are the specs on the bolts that hold the batwing to the rearend on the Dana 44. Mine are missing in action, but for what I paid I'm not complaining. Are they the same as the D36 bolts?
2) I'm under the assumption, based on previous posts, that I must remove the slip yoke from my auto driveshaft and install it on the manual driveshaft. Is this correct?
3) Will all the other bolts that hold on the various suspension components, swap right over(85 Dana 44, 87 Dana 36)?
4) What kind of gains(1/4 mile) can I expect going from 2.59's to 3.07's?
Ski, I can get you the guy's phone # if you want to see if he has another one.
I have the manual driveshaft, I just need to know if I have to swap the ends that go in the transmission, the slip yoke. I've got the parts coming from Jeff Kopp to fix the speedo, I need to check locally for the pinion seal(easier to replace while it's on the ground now) and the bolts.

When I installed my Dana 44 in my '92 A4, I drilled the holes in the Dana 44 case and installed metric helicoils for added protection. I didn't like how soft the threads were in the case.
