Default replacement radiator suggestions

I know.. Dewitts... unfortunately that brand is not in my budget. 1996 LT1 auto, Bone stock. Just a weekend cruiser. OEM radiator sprung a leak in the plastic tank. I was looking at this one from Eckler. I tried their customer service chat and whoever runs it doesn't have a clue so I figured i would ask here. They were steering me towards a model that has a filler neck for a radiator cap. I explained that at least 90-96 don't have them and that the cap is on the expansion tank. I might as well been speaking French. Anyway... I am looking at this model as a replacement. Price is in my budget... Champion Radiators 1989-1996 Corvette Champion Cooling 3-Row High Efficiency Aluminum Radiator | Chevrolet | Standard Zr1 40th Anniversary Any opinions or users?

Why not a stock replacement? They're like $100.

I did. I ordered a Spectra Premuim from Amazon for $147. Same price as Rock Auto but Prime ships for free. I also ordered new upper and lower hoses, a 180 degree OEM thermostat and an OEM radiator cap from Rock Auto. $230 total for everything. I just need to pickup up coolant and some new hose clamps.

I'm happy with mine from Griffin Racing. It took a little fabrication being it's a universal fit but its way thicker than the Dewitt's and was under $200.

on the subject of DeWitts, I am a big fan but understand budgets. I got a great discount on my last DeWitts unit by reading about a sale they posted in the C4 parts for sale in this forum. I notice them there often.

regardless of your choice don't forget to clean the condenser out during the process

Good call. Do you clean in place or remove?

I cleaned in place. There are HVAC tools like a fin straightener and spray foam coil cleaner that helped. Then a water hose and compressed air . The finish used a bright flashlight and my wife's hand held mirror to look through the fins and verify all clear (hope she doesn't find out).
