Hi guys
I'm looking at doing a deal for this 84 with an L88 and Nash 4sp. I'm unfamiliar with the engine but what i gather about the L88 is they're a 427 that was used in the late 60s Corvettes
Can anyone enlighten me about the L88 like was there something special about it?
That makes sense. The L83 engine code is what came stock in the 84 Vette. It's a 350. I'm sorry to say, IMO, it's not very desirable. The 1987 - 1991 L98s, on the other hand, are desirable. Improvements include factory roller cam, "fast burn" aluminum heads with 10:1 compression and a 1 piece rear main seal. The L98s TPI induction system, when tuned properly, put out respectable power and torque capable of low 13 1/4 mile times in the Vette. The engine can also easily be converted to carburetion.
