Codes??

Hi guys… I need some help.

My 94 is having an electrical issue, but I am unable to get the codes with any of my Obd1 or obd2 readers.

is there an onboard code reader?

If you put a wire between the top right and second from top right pins on the ALDL Connector and turn on the car to the accessories (second detent, eight before engine start) you'll get the codes out of the annunciator panel above the stereo. It'll flash "12" on the service engine soon lamp. It'll be one flash, then two flashes, I think three times then it will start flashing any malfunction codes the ECM picked up.

The OP has a 1994 which does not have the style of ALDL you describe. The picture in Post #2 shows both style ALDL connectors, and the years for each style.
