Asr issue

There are onboard diagnostics available that use the trip and fuel info buttons to manipulate, the readout is the LCD speedo cluster. Most ABS/ASR codes will show in these diagnostics. It's really simple, there are several here that can help you with resolving the issues if you can retrieve the codes.
The hitch is that you probably can't contort to get under the dash to put the jumper in the ALDL connector. Can you have a grand-kid or neighbor do it for you?
You need a little piece of wire with stripped ends. Insert it in Cavities 4 and 12. Turn key to run. Watch the speedo. There is a little number in the fuel info area, and a big number beginning with "H" or "C" in the speedo. Write the codes down including the "little" number, which is the Mode. ABS/ASR is Mode 9. If you get lost or want to see them again, turn the key off, wait about 10 seconds and turn the key back ON. It starts over.
Pull the codes and report back.
