To do this with your 85 suspension, you can either swap to 86-87 front knuckles(drilled for the abs sensors) or have machine shop drill yours, and then use 86-89 front bearing hubs(have abs reluctors). In back, you'll need 86-87 spindles(with reluctors) and either 86-87 spindle supports(knuckles) or have mach. shop drill yours. Drilling your pieces is cheapest but you'll need the proper pieces to show the shop where to drill.
2MaNYC4s, You must have lots of parts! I'm gonna try the car without the ABS and see how I do. I might take on this project. What about the CPU or ECM that handles the processing? :confused:
I've owned my car for 3 years and the ABS has never worked. I wouldn't bother trying to retrofit it. I thought I heard somewhere that the controller that fits into the cargo compartment behind the driver's seat is like $800 if you can find a used one.
