87 - Fuel Pump Relay Bypassed
So i look at the fuse panel and notice there is no 15a fuse in the courtesy/clock slot. So i put one in and the fuel pump starts up and keeps running until i pull the fuse. It looks like someone wired the the fuel pump directly to the courtesy/clk fuse.. why?
All i can think of is the fuel pump relay or the fusible link went bad and they rerouted things to get 12v to the fuel pump when the ignition is turned on. I cant hear any two second prime from the fuel pump when the ignition is turned on but it must be gettign 12v when the car is started because it runs. Any thoughts? Why would someone do that? OR, could something just have shorted?
