My dash is currently having some issues with lighting up properly so I want to take on a project where I essentially remove the entire instrument cluster and replace it with my own 3 LCD screens, wired to either an Arduino or a Raspberry Pi but still keep the same design of the dash. Considering the screens used for the dash were LCD, I figure I could find a way to remake the dash to be completely controlled by the board, has anyone does something like this before or have any insight towards it? I'm also curious as to how the information is converted from sensors to be displayed to the dash.
Attached are three files which show the wire colors and pinouts for the dash wiring. You should be able to figure out what wires you will need to take to your new cluster. Enjoy!
