Default Intermittent Power Window Issues

For the last 10 years the passenger side power window on my 94 will work intermittently. About 50% of the time it will work on the first push of the switch. When it does move it will go all the way up or all the way down as long as I keep the switch engaged. If I let off say half way down and then engage the switch again it may or may not move on the first try. If I keep trying the switch it will eventually move again on the 5th or 6th try. It does the same thing regardless if you use the switch on the drivers side or passenger side.

The drivers side window is now doing the same thing and I want to tackle the issue and get both windows working properly. My thinking was to start by checking the switches and then wiring. I’ve dealt with failed power windows before and it was always the motor or the regulator/track mechanism that failed but I’ve never dealt with an intermittent issue like this.

Before I go chasing my tail testing wires and switches I wanted to see if someone with more knowledge than me could give me a good starting point. Any thoughts?
