fluctuating idle
Well, I finally got the 85 clutch issue figured out and drove the car for the first time yesterday. Car ran good on the short test drive but when it's idling it fluctuates between 1300 - 1500 to almost shutting off. It will not stay consistent but only does this when it's at or around operating temperature. I rebuilt the original engine pretty much stock with exception of a very mild cam (recommended by COMP cams), long tube headers and 24 lb injectors ( supplied by guy I got car from). I did an EGR and smog pump delete and O2 sensor is not hooked up yet due to breaking the bung out of the header trying to remove the old one. The timing is set to factory setting and it has a new Mass air meter. The SERVICE ENGINE light is not on.
