Have looked at the FSM, and threads here on the forum. I have sources a very nice 1991 L98 that I want to transplant in my very clean 1986 corvette. Here is my interpretation of what lives where.
Looking for a quick confirmation these are marked correctly. The original 86' motor was poorly carb converted, and the harness totally chopped by the prior owner so I had little reference to go from.
That all is correct, not sure about the oil temp sensor as I no longer have it there for the 1986, thought maybe it was on the aft side of the block behind the manifold, but you diagram is probably correct even though that's not the late 1986 OEM engine shown.
Goal here is to swap out the 91 sensors w/ 86 model year sensors (as needed, a few are different) so my ECU and new (to me) harness play well w/ the motor.
My harness is set up for the sending unit and pressure switch at the rear of the block.
if my diagram above in the 91 checks, I am comfortable with the rest.

thanks to those who have chimed in.

the engine shown is a 91' and going into my 86' chassis.
Take a good look at the fuel lines as well to ensure you are good there. I did a swap of an 86 engine into an 88 body and learned that GM changed the fuel return size, in 86 they were smaller, if I recall 5/16 tube dimension with a 16 mm fitting and in 88 it went to match the supply line which was a 3/8 tube dimension with an 18 mm fitting. That caused a bit of "fun" to get me out of the shop and home, but later ordered AN lines and the proper fittings to make it all work and look clean.

Yeah, can confirm that my 87 had the older 3/8 and 5/16 dimensions. Good call out.
Good callouts. The motor came w/ the fuel lines still attached. During the dropout, they disconnected the lines in the fuel filter area. Will close attention when I reinstall them that the fittings are a match under the car.
Motor is in w/ a few upgrades since I was already there.
correct - the original motor had cast iron heads and oval exhaust ports. The 91' motor going in it, are aluminum heads w/ D-ports ( which receive Headman Elite headers).
