Default L98 TPI MAF wireing harness

I have just completed a engine swap with a L98 TPI using a Painless standalone wiring harness and the the computer prom chip they give is 16068654 that one is no longer available. I have two questions: 1. does anyone know someone that may have that chip. 2. does anyone know of another prom chip that will work. My problem is that the chip I am using is a 1988 stats chip. the kind I need is a 85-88 non stats chip. I'm waiting on a by pass module but the techs at painless said it may have a conflict with my computer. Any information will be appreciated

Non stats ? Do you mean vats ?
Have you tried www.tunedperformance.org
86-89 the 1227165 ecm chips interchange. Could get a stock prom for f body 87-88 if 350 or custom tune better suited to the engine .

16068654 Is a ABWN f body 350 automatic tune you can sometimes find it or abwt on eBay. But it’s setup for the 9th injector. A custom 89 based tune would probably be better.

The harness that Painless sells is for a 89-92 MAF and the chip they give is the one I listed and the one they said they know works. I ask them if there were any other ones and they told me that it was the one tested and knew works. My problem is I'm having a stats issue. code 49. I can start the engine with 45 psi fuel pressure and it runs 1or 2 seconds then dies. I can do that twice but the third time it dies and I have no fuel pressure and it won't start back until it sets awhile. I have replace the fuel pump twice. Painless tech says it is a stats issue. That is the reason I need that prom chip

a 60102 is maf 86-89 1227165 ecm, there is no code 49 with obd1 if you have a 60103 it uses a 1227730 different chip for speed density.

Without injector pulse it shouldn’t have started. Unless injectors are leaking or a ripped fpr diaphragm. What’s the broadcast letters on your computer chip ? The 3-4 letters on the silver sticker ?

All tpi 86-91 y body has vats enabled in the chip. Can be programmed out. But sounds like you have a few issues you need to resolve.

I found I have a ABWN and ABWT the letters are called a broadcast code. But if you have aluminum heads I’d use a ARAP with vats delete.

I don’t know that those are acdelco calibration part numbers , where did you find them on the internet? What are there broadcast codes. All of the y body 86-89 calibrations have vats. F body 87-early 88 didn’t have vats. But if this is for a stock 88 Vette l98 you really need a chip for that engine or ARAR or ARAP vats deleted.
